Getting your Weltrade account linked to MT5 is a one-time setup that takes a few minutes once you know where to look. Here’s the process from download to your first logged-in session, on both desktop and mobile. To connect a broker account to MT5, you normally need the account number, trading password and correct server. The official MetaTrader 5 guide explains how to connect an existing trading account and enter these details.

Step 1: Log In to Your Personal Profile
Start by signing into your Weltrade account through the website or mobile app. From there, locate the Download Trading Platform section. This is where every available version of MT5 is listed for your account.

Step 2: Download MT5 for Your Device
Click MetaTrader 5 and choose the appropriate download for your setup, desktop for Windows or Mac, or the mobile app links for Android and iOS. The desktop installer runs like any standard software installation; just follow the on-screen prompts. Mobile installation is even faster, typically just a standard app store download.
Step 3: Locate Your MT5 Login Credentials
Every Weltrade trading account has its own separate MT5 login number and password, distinct from your main Weltrade profile password. These are generated automatically when you open a trading account and are visible in your Personal Profile. Copy them down or keep the page open, since you’ll need them in the next step. For setting up a synthetic indices account specifically, see How to Open a Weltrade SyntX Account.

Step 4: Open MT5 and Log In
On desktop, launch MT5, go to File → Login to Trade Account, and enter your account number, password, and server. On mobile, open the app, select Login to an Existing Account, and enter Weltrade as the broker then choose either Weltrade-Live for a funded account or Weltrade-Demo for a demo account before entering your credentials.

Step 5: Confirm the Connection
Once logged in, your account balance, open positions, and available instruments should populate the terminal. If you see an “Invalid account” message, double-check that you selected the correct server. This is the most common reason a connection fails on the first attempt. Double-checking the account number for typos is the second most common fix, especially on mobile where the numeric keypad makes small entry errors easy to miss. Switching Between Multiple Accounts
If you have more than one Weltrade trading account, for example, a Pro account alongside a SyntX account, MT5 lets you save multiple logins for quick switching. Go to File → Login to Trade Account again, enter the second account’s details, and it will appear in your login dropdown for future sessions without needing to re-enter everything.

Using the Web Terminal Instead
If you’d rather skip installation entirely, Weltrade’s MT5 WebTerminal runs directly in a browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook, using the same login credentials. It’s a reasonable option if you’re connecting from a device you don’t want to install software on, though the desktop and mobile apps generally offer a smoother experience for active trading.

Once You’re Connected
With MT5 linked, you’re ready to explore the platform itself, charts, order types, and instrument lists all become accessible the moment you log in.
